CHANGE OR PERISH

Anthropological and theological evidences of human evolution point to
differences-physical and physiological in nature between our genetic
progenitors Adam and Eve (argumentatively, Homo erectus). In the
beginning of civilization, division of work must have been a function of
body constitution, skill and mental caliber-all of which are again functions
of evolution and hence, are not original and untouched by change. Mostly in
history, after gender roles have been administered, their susceptibility to
change has been minimal and slow. This is because our brains are wired to
resist alteration. It triggers “Ooh, danger domain” signals in the amygdala
while the pre-frontal cortex (credited for learning) needs huge ATP boosts
to pick up something new. So, Mr brain hates interesting deep work. And
the ship stays safe in harbor. But that’s not what ships are really for!
Conformity is the easiest; but, the easiest is never the most rewarding.
Misalignment with gender stereotypes associates more with advantage-the
likes of which include a wider spectrum of diversified abilities causing
greater adaptability and of course, the very famous, ‘survival of the fittest’
comes into operation increasing probability of the adapter to become a
genetic front runner in the race for survival against the popular notion that
a standalone stays disadvantaged. At least in biology, a standalone if
superlative enjoys competitive and reproductive benefits.
The person, group or community assuming themselves as the assigner of
gender roles cannot be considered impartial. In fact, they never are. They
will liquidate or uphold rules for personal gains. Saudi Arabia is infamous
for its regressive treatment and imposition of nonsensical rules on women.
This is a typical example of the dominant gender trying to maintain
stronghold over the submissive one. But, when the men in power realized
that their antics were scaring away tourists causing their tourism industry
to head for a downfall, they put up some fancy women empowerment
shows in the form of lifting driving bans on women and launching female
marathons. And the whole world went gaga over feminist
Papa Saud who was now able to restore normalcy in his tourism businesses.
Certain gender groups in this era neither allow the others to take up
multifariousness nor embrace it themselves. In doing so, the gender at fault
creates a comfort zone for its evolutionary fools convincing them that the
couch of chauvinism that they sit on is right; there is no need to slog or
adapt. Task heterogeneity is a nightmare to them. They focus on creation of
boundaries shouldering themselves with the charge of supervision; anyone
who does not fall into their defined limits becomes an outcast.
This has to stop. No gender must think itself as subordinate or supreme.
Accommodation of a larger no of hues in a color palette makes it more
vibrant; similarly, every gender whether M or W or L or G or B or T or any
another alphabet that asks for IDENTITY must be socially and lawfully
recognized.
So, to all those dimwits out there who disagree to agree, IN THE NAME OF
DARWIN, CHANGE FOR THE BETTER OR PERISH.
