Petrichor
I love the smell of wet earthI wish it would rain
as soon as I invoked the
rain gods. But that's not so.
But if it's petrichor I want.
Petrichor I shall have. So
I start watering my plants.
And petrichor I get.
Artificial albeit.
.
What do you do when you
don't have what you want?
.
There's a principle
for retrieving what is lost
Be it people or feelings or things
You have to get it back or
replace it with something
else at any cost
And that's the song the
world sings
.
But no, I don't resonate,
There is an art that's the
mother of all arts
And it applies to every person
and feeling and thing
It tells me that "happy" is not
petrichor,
"Happy" is but a recipe I can
always cook from these
fragrantly exotic herbs in my
mind garden
There's resilient mint
And persevering thyme
And meditative parsley
.
So, "Happy" is not petrichor or
people or feelings or things
"Happy" is detachment from
all things fleeting
"Happy" is the art of letting go.
"Happy" is the art of letting it be.
"Happy" is the art of leaving.
.
So this time, I invoke my rain
gods
I need no petrichor
Come ere, water my mind garden
I need some meditative parsley
I am cooking "happy" Stew today.
